Reika is a Souenite Human who was a victim of human trafficking in Karsand. While being transported to another client, she was freed by Higure along with the other victims. This act of heroism in turn caused Reika to be devoted to him no matter his goals. Reika is also a part of the Idol group, 24/7 Gals and works as a part-time clerk in Souen's 24/7 branch.

Playstyle

Reika employs a powerhouse playstyle as an Assault character. Due to her flow Ability, all of her attacks reduce her HP by a certain amount. This, in turn, allows her to deal more damage the lower her HP. Her defensive technique allows her to self-heal by a certain amount and provide boosts to her DFP and DEX, however, she will be restricted from healing for 3 turns.

Background

Reika was born from a low-class family in Rhom, Souen. Due to their living conditions, including the passing of her mother, Reika eventually fell victim to her father's frequent domestic violence and abuse. So much so that she lost an eye in the process. She was later sold to a Karsandan human trafficker by her father, hoping he would be compensated greatly. She grew very resentful of him as years passed while enduring physical and emotional abuse as a slave for various Karsandan aristocrats. One day, Higure Akegata, an Exodus member at the time, intercepted a cargo containing Human trafficking victims and rescued Reika and the others. His fearless and selfless actions deeply moved Reika, who saw him as her hero and protector. The following day, Reika did nothing but follow Higure. The two grew fond of each other and Reika was eventually adopted.

Over the course of the years, Reika was trained as an expert assassin and a martial artist. Higure made sure she had all the tools she needed to grow and become strong in both mind and strength. However, her traumatic past still lingered until she couldn't take it anymore. Reika's past was a dark cloud that followed her, a constant reminder of the horrors she had endured. Her relationship with her father was a festering wound, a source of deep-seated resentment and anger. When she was finally free from his clutches, she sought a resolution, but not one of forgiveness.

One day, while searching for her father, Reika found him living a miserable life, a shell of the man he once was. He was alone, destitute, and filled with regret. Seeing him in such a state, Reika felt a mix of pity and revulsion. She confronted him, demanding an apology for the pain he had caused her and the others. Her father, realizing the extent of his wrongdoing, offered a heartfelt apology. However, Reika's anger had consumed her. She saw the apology as a feeble attempt to absolve himself of his guilt. In a fit of rage, she lashed out, striking him with a force she didn't know she possessed.

The blow was fatal. Reika watched in horror as her father's life ebbed away. Guilt and remorse washed over her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she had done the right thing. The weight of her past had finally been lifted, but at a terrible cost.

Present day, Reika remains to be fiercely loyal to Higure and believes in his cause, even though she may not fully understand his motives. She is willing to follow him anywhere and do anything for him. Eventually, she became a member of the popular idol group 24/7 Gals, which performs upbeat and energetic music. She enjoys singing and dancing, and she uses her platform to spread positivity and hope. Reika also works as a part-time clerk at Souen's 24/7 branch, a convenient store known for its friendly staff and wide selection of products. She enjoys interacting with customers and helping them find what they need.
